Hi there. You might ask: “Why does this blog exist?”

Well, actually I just want to pass on the wicked, cool, useful, funny and special links I get by mail, RSS or by stumbling across them on the web. Up until now I never really found the time to forward the links to peers because if I forward a link by email I consider:

  • who might be interested in this link
  • who might be annoyed by getting yet another email with just a link
  • what kind of address (work/home) should I use
  • …

Instead, now people can just slurp the feed into their RSS-readers or browse here. Slick, huh?

Also I get a decent searchable online bookmark repository out of it. This repo will over time accumulate the sort of links I don’t want clogging my browser bookmarks plus maybe some of my bookmarks that I think should be shouted out.
I pump out links indiscriminately. That implies that:

  • I have no influence on the linked pages! The respective site admin is responsible for the content of the linked pages. If a page goes down or suddenly shows “unacceptable” content please tell me and I will remove/change the link
  • This link collection does not reflect my personality, browsing habits or other traits I might have. Yes, this goes to prospective employers or other visitors who think scanning this blog gives them an insight about the person behind this blog. For that you would need my browser bookmark list.
  • linking a site here does in no way imply that I am a member/fan/regular reader of any of these sites, except when I explicitly state otherwise. That leads to a request: please don’t ask me stuff like “What else is there on the page you linked?” or “Why do you link to a page that has ‘family-unfriendly’ links/pictures?” except it’s for a good reason like a site changing drastically (see above) ;)
  • at the time of linking a page I try to make sure the page is not offensive (except it’s marked as such, e.g. if a really useful site uses ‘unclean’ ads to stay free of charge) or even illegal
